Touristy's Story

We started out as Taxi Tours Ireland a few years back. A small group of Taxi men with a huge passion for Ireland and a love for telling visitors all the old folklore tales & Irish stories.

Since then we've grown into Touristy. We are still a small passionate team full of pride for our little country Ireland. However we've gained lots more experience since our Taxi Tours Ireland days. We now have a large network of similar minded tour guides all around Ireland and can offer tours all around the country.

No matter how small or large the group. We can organise the perfect private tour that suits you. Just get in touch with us and let us start planning your next tour of Ireland.

We are so proud to have received our 2017 certificate of excellence award from Tripadvisor. This is a testament to the dedication our guides show everyday while working with Touristy.

Glendalough Tours Highlights

Overview of Our Glendalough Tours

Wicklow, best known as the “Garden of Ireland” gets its name from its surrounding greenery. Wicklow is at the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East. Located only thirty minutes South of Dublin it has mountains, cliffs, sandy beaches, hidden lakes, bogs and friendly villages. Glendalough’s 6th Century monastic site will have you following on in the footsteps of St Kevin. Explore Wicklow Jail and experience the troubled times of the Irish Rebellion that took place back in 1798. Wander around and get lost in the beautiful gardens of Powerscourt and if you’ve time, grab a photo at the largest waterfall in Ireland.

Our Glendalough tours use a mix between private guides and Taxi guides. All our guides are very friendly, experienced, passionate and knowledgeable in the History and culture of Ireland. Taxi guides give the advantage of using bus lanes in order to avoid being stuck in traffic around the city. They are also full of local knowledge and bring great character to our tours.
