Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way, Achill Seaweed Baths offers a unique experience to lie back and soak up the atmosphere that makes Ireland so special.Building on the well established tradition of seaweed bathing in Ireland, Achill Seaweed Baths have developed a new experience which welcomes their bathers to inhale the scenery, scents, sounds and spirit of Achill.Using seaweed harvested daily on Achill Island, you and your someone special can relax in a private bath house surrounded by the fields of Achill Island.Having done research on the benefits of seaweed, Mari developed a unique experience which allows the bather to enjoy the Achill landscape and environment while bathing.“I wanted my guests to leave my baths with a truly reviving experience. One that would connect them in many different ways and through all their senses to the landscape they are here to discover.”Seaweed Baths are renowned therapeutic treatment, historically used throughout the country to ward off cold and flu’s. The seaweed concentrates the Anti-oxidants, natural minerals, essential oils and vitamins found in our ocean. All this is then released into your seaweed bath. The seaweed is steamed prior to immersion to aid the release of the compounds. Then it is soaked in a very hot bath so the goodness is concentrating in the water even before you arrive at Mari’s little bath house. To top off your experience with even more luxury why not avail of a handmade face mask while you at Achill Seaweed Baths.Using locally sourced hand harvested seaweeds we look forward to giving you an experience which is relaxing, revitalising and replenishing.
